ABC Fitness and Sunnyside Partner to Support Coaches in Dry-ish January Programs, Promoting Alcohol Moderation for Better Health

December 20, 2024

New Dry-ish January Habit Program in the ABC Trainerize app empowers fitness enthusiasts to create healthier drinking habits with the help of their personal trainer.

ABC Fitness, a global leader in fitness technology solutions, has announced an exciting partnership between its coach and trainer app, ABC Trainerize, and Sunnyside, the leading app for mindful drinking. This collaboration empowers fitness coaches and personal trainers with tools to support clients participating in Dry-ish January initiatives, spreading awareness about the health benefits of reducing alcohol consumption and providing resources to foster long-term wellness.

ABC Trainerize, a platform used by thousands of fitness professionals worldwide, is equipping trainers with tailored resources to help clients proactively navigate their relationship with alcohol, including progress tracking, educational content, and habit-forming strategies. Over the last few years, ABC Trainerize has seen the tracking of alcohol-related habits increase by nearly three times, demonstrating the adoption of mindful drinking into fitness and health coaching. By partnering with Sunnyside, a pioneer in alcohol reduction, ABC Fitness aims to further bridge the gap between fitness and mindful drinking with refined resources and a dedicated approach to Dryish January.

“At Sunnyside, we are passionate about helping people unlock their full potential through a more balanced relationship with alcohol,” said Nick Allen, CEO of Sunnyside. “Partnering with ABC Trainerize allows us to extend our mission to fitness professionals who are uniquely positioned to inspire and support healthy habits. Together, we’re creating a more holistic approach to wellness, starting with Dry-ish January and extending into year-round behavior change around drinking as it fits into overall health.”

The collaboration also introduces fitness coaches to Sunnyside’s innovative tools for guiding clients on personalized alcohol-reduction plans. From setting drinking goals to monitoring progress, trainers can now integrate these strategies into their programs, adding a valuable dimension to their services and driving meaningful results for their clients.

At ABC Trainerize, we are focused on empowering trainers and coaches to deliver life-changing fitness and wellness experiences,” said Sharad Mohan, Platform President, ABC Trainerize. “In fact, alcohol-related habits are one of our most tracked habits on the app, so by partnering with Sunnyside, we are expanding the definition of wellness to include mindful drinking, helping trainers support their clients in achieving both their fitness and lifestyle goals. This partnership is a step toward a more inclusive and holistic approach to health.”

The collaboration between ABC Trainerize and Sunnyside underscores ABC Fitness’ commitment to innovation in fitness and wellness technology. By addressing the intersection of alcohol reduction and fitness, this partnership highlights the importance of holistic solutions that encourage individuals to make sustainable lifestyle changes, regardless of their health goals.

Fitness coaches using ABC Trainerize will have access to a library of Dry-ish January resources co-created with Sunnyside, including 31-daily habit-tracking templates, communication tools, and evidence-based insights on the benefits of reducing alcohol intake. Together, ABC Trainerize and Sunnyside are transforming the way fitness professionals approach coaching, putting the power of holistic health in the hands of trainers and their clients alike.

This innovative collaboration aligns with ABC Fitness’ broader mission to make fitness and wellness accessible to all. Looking ahead to 2025, ABC Fitness continues to pave the way for a future where health and technology work seamlessly together to inspire lasting change.
