Protein’s function in the body is to build and repair tissues, so it’s important, especially for those strength training to fuel their body with the right amount of protein. Protein is found most commonly in foods such as nuts, beans, chicken, fish and whole grains. Daily protein intake should be about 1 gram of protein per pound for active individuals.
